Tomato sauce with mushrooms -- heated
Combine ground meat, onion, eggs, bread crumbs, parsley, wine,
basil, salt and pepper in a large bowl; mix.
Crisscross 3 bacon slices on a 12-inch square of aluminum foil;
shape meatloaf mixture into a 6-inch round on top of bacon. Top
with remaining bacon slices, halved, and bay leaf. Lift foil
with loaf into
slow cooker; cover.
Cook on high 1 hour; turn heat control to low; cook 4 hours longer,
or until
meatloaf is well-done.
Remove loaf from slow cooker by lifting the foil, tilting fat back into
the
slow cooker. Discard bacon and bay leaf.
Serve on heated platter and spoon part of the heated tomato
sauce over. Serving suggestion: Serve with buttered noodles
and Frenched
green beans.
Beef broth or tomato juice may be substituted for the Burgundy.

for 6 to 8 hours or until done.

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cornflake crumbs, parsley, eggs,
ketchup, onion, soy sauce, garlic powder and pepper. Mix well and form
into
small balls, from 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter. Place in a casserole or
baking
pan. Heat oven to 300 degrees F. Meanwhile in a saucepan, combine cranberry
sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar and lemon juice. Cook stirring over
medium
heat until smooth. Pour hot sauce over meatballs in casserole. Bake
for 30
to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the meatballs. Transfer to
crock pot
and keep on low for serving.

Empty pork and beans into crock pot. Add Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, ketchup and chili powder to suit your own taste. Mix ground beef, rice, salt and pepper; form into balls and brown. Then add them into crock pot on top of beans. Slice onion and green peppers. Place on top of meat balls. Salt and pepper lightly. Cook on high for 1 hour. Turn down to low-medium for 3 to 4 hours.

Reserve 2 tablespoons catsup. Combine beef, eggs, oats, soup mix and
remaining catsup. Shape into a round loaf for crock pot or oblong for oven.
Put into crock pot. Top with remaining catsup. Cover and cook on low 8
to 10 hours or on high 4 to 6 hours or 350 degree oven for about 1 hour
and 15 minutes. Cover with foil if browning too fast. This slices very
well for sandwiches the next day.

Soak bread crumbs in milk for 5 minutes in a large mixing bowl. Add beef, pork, eggs, onion, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, allspice, nutmeg and cardamom. Mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on broiler pan and bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees. Put browned meatballs in crock pot. Add 1/2 can beef consomme or broth, pepper and remaining salt. Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours (high 2-3 hours). To thicken gravy, turn crock pot to high. Combine butter and flour to make a smooth paste. Add paste to remaining 1/2 can consomme and pour into crock pot. Cook until thickened, about 45 minutes.

Mix until smooth. Pat half of meat loaf mixture in bottom
of crockery pot. Cover with sausages. Top with remaining meat
loaf. Pat to seal. Combine catsup, mustard, and brown
sugar. Spread over meat. Peel potatoes. Cut in
strips (French Fry style). Coat well with butter and place around
meat. Cover. Cook on high 1 hour and reduce to LOW and cook
for 6 hours.

Place meatballs in slow cooker and set on high. As they

cream of mushroom soup
In large bowl combine the eggs, 1/2 cup of the onion sour cream dip,
the bread crumbs, celery, onion, pimiento, dillweed, salt and pepper; mix
well. Blend in the ground beef and pork.
In crockpot crisscross two 15" x 2" strips of foil.
( Use heavy duty or double thickness of regular ), across the bottom
and up the sides. Place the meat mixture atop the foil strips, pressing
lightly to form a round loaf, that doesn't touch the sides of the pot.
Cover;cook on low heat 8-9 hours. Lift out the meatloaf, using the excess
foil as "handles"; drain off excess fat. Serve with Sour Cream Mushroom
Sauce.
Sour Cream Mushroom Sauce: In saucepan combine remaining 1/2 cup of
onion sour cream dip and one 10-3/4 oz can of condensed cream of mushroom
soup.
Heat through, stir occasionally.

favorite barbecue sauce

firmly packed brown sugar

*Reduce or omit if using a hickory-flavor barbecue sauce.
In a large bowl combine the ground beef, onion, crushed crackers, pepper,
garlic salt, dry mustard and eggs. Squish the mixture together by
hand until well mixed and form into walnut sized balls. Place them
on a flat wire rack in a roasting pan or a large cake pan. Bake the
meatballs in a 350°F oven for 15 minutes, turn and bake for 15 minutes
more. In a saucepan combine the remaining ingredients.
Cook over medium low heat for 30 minutes. Add the meatballs and simmer
for several hours. This may also be done in a crockpot. Makes
about 60 meatballs.

butter -- softened
Simmer sausages in water to cover 10 minutes. Drain. Place eggs,
milk, bread, salt, Worcestershire, dry mustard, stock base and onions in
blender container. Cover. Blend til smooth. Place ground meat in mixing
bowl. Pour in blender contents. Mix until smooth.
Pat half of meat loaf mixture in bottom of crockery pot. cover with sausages.
Top with remaining meat loaf. Pat to seal. Combine catsup, mustard,
and brown sugar. Spread over meat. Peel potatoes. Cut in strips (French
Fry style). Coat well with butter and place around meat. Cover. Cook on
high 1 hour and reduce to LOW and cook for 6 hours.

In a bowl, beat egg and milk. Stir in the bread cubes, onion, green pepper, salt and pepper. Add the beef and mix well. Shape into a round loaf. Place in a 5 qt. slow cooker. Spread ketchup on top of loaf. Arrange carrots around loaf. Peel a strip around the center of each potato; place potatoes over carrots. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. meatballs:

lean ground pork

grated parmesan cheese

freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon
leaf basil
1/2 teaspoon
leaf oregano
1/2 teaspoon
leaf thyme

dry bread crumbs

pine nuts (optional)

dried parsley flakes

evaporated milk
Combine all ingredients except Meatballs, spaghetti and cheese in Crock-Pot;
stir well.
Cover and cook on Low for 5 to 10 hours. If Meatballs are added,
continue to cook on Low for 7 to 12 hours.
Just before serving, cook spaghetti according to package directions.
Serve topped with Meatballs in sauce and pass grated Parmesan cheese.
Serves 10 to 12.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Shape into 24 meatballs about
1 1/2 inches in diameter. Place on baking sheet and bake in 450 degree
oven for 15 to 20 minutes or brown meatballs in skillet; drain.

I've got to say that I LOVE the following crockpot appetizer recipe! I have not only served it for company, but also have made it on Sundays, which is "Snack Day" around my house! In a large bowl, combine egg, soup, stuffing mix, and salt. Add ground beef; mix well. Shape into 1-inch meatballs. Place meatballs in a baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15-18 minutes or till done. Drain meatballs and transfer to crockpot. In a bowl, combine ketchup, tomato sauce, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and vinegar. Pour over meatballs and stir gently to coat. Cover; cook on HIGH setting for 2-3 hours. Serve immediately or keep warm on low setting up to 2 hours. Serve with toothpicks.
