Featured Recipe:
Ghirardelli Microwave Brownies

 

These rich and moist brownies are perfect for an afternoon snack or a special treat for Mom and Dad!
 

Sara's Ghirardelli Premium Microwave Brownies:

2/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/4 c. Ghirardelli Premium
            Unsweetened Cocoa
1/4 c. Ghirardelli Sweet Ground
           Chocolate
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

FROSTING:
1/2 c.  mini chocolate chips
1/4 c. peanut butter

   Melt butter in bowl on HIGH for one minute.  Add sugar.  Cool.  Add eggs and vanilla.  Sift flour, cocoa, ground chocolate and baking powder into sugar mixture and blend in.  Stir in nuts.  Pour into lightly greased 9 inch glass dish or pyrex/corning casserole dish.  Cook on high for 5 minutes, (or until just set) turning at least 3 times.

Immediately, sprinkle on chocolate chips and dot peanut butter on top of brownies.  Let melt, swirl with butter knife.

Cool before cutting.  Makes 1 dozen brownies.
